Outlaw Blacksmith
Outlaw Blacksmith
Cody Hofius

In his day job, Cody works in the mechanic field, handling most of the welding and metalworking tasks at his business. Cody’s journey into blacksmithing began in 2016 when he was struck by a knife from the Philippines that he couldn't find in the States. This gave him the genius idea to construct his own forge and fashion the knife himself. Despite numerous setbacks and challenges along the way, he persevered through trial and error, and has been perfecting his craft ever since.

Over the years Cody has continued to evolve his distinctive western style into building his company, Outlaw Blacksmith. His repertoire has expanded beyond knives, and he now tackles a variety of special orders, ranging from home décor to jewelry. He also love’s to showcase his skills in this forgotten art through live demonstrations.

“I love being able to teach the practice, techniques, and styles that people can pass down to their children and keep the craft alive.”

Cody's enthusiasm extends beyond performance and production; he's deeply committed to preserving traditional techniques and styles. His passion lies in imparting his knowledge to others, ensuring that the craft continues to evolve and thrive for future generations.
